A print from the plate that produced the Invitation from the Lady Mayoress of London to a ball at the Mansion House, 12 April 1791.
For the year of 1791, 1500 invitations were produced and so ‘A new regulation has taken Place at the Mansion House for Easter Monday. The entertainment is to be confined to Dinner and Cards. The Ball is to be given separately on a future day. Lady Mayoress’s Rout is this Year denominated a Ball. An elegant Invitation Ticket, designed by Hamilton, and etched by Bartolozzi, is circulating for Tuesday 12th Instant’.
