An Important Pair of Louis XIV Ormolu Candlesticks, Circa 1720.
Of large scale with gadrooned multi-baluster stems with female masks, their hair dressed with laurel, emblematic of Victory. With milled drip-pans and foliate nozzles on domed bases cast with strapwork, shells and foliage edged with entrelac-and-rosette.
