Superb and of a grand scale , Continental Border Glass Mirror - suprisingly still having intact all the twelve original finely etched border glass panels with decorations of seasonal figures - flora and fauna . This form of decoration is a rare accompaniment to what already is a massively grand work of art .
Of particular note is the various interscrolling to the outer carved and gilt frame featuring fabulous intricate three dimensional raised carvings of intertwining vines and fruit of the vine . The whole in particular rare state of preservation . At some time there may have been a pediment .
