A fine and rare George III mahogany month going regulator of small proportions. The 10 inch square silvered dial with hour aperture signed Henry Henderson London. The substantial month going movement with six pillars and Harrison’s maintaining power. Wood rod pendulum with rating nut. The highly figured flame mahogany case with moulded door frame to the hood and canted corners, raised panel to the base on a double plinth with pad feet.

Date circa 1780

Henry Henderson was a silversmith working at 85 The Strand. The signature of this clock replaces the original which was almost certainly signed by the Mudge & Dutton partnership. See notes.
