A rare late 18th Century miniature cylinder cylinder watch and diamond set gold ring housing. Very small full plate movement with fusee and chain.
Finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with steel coqueret, steel regulator on top plate below the plain three arm gilt balance. Polished steel cylinder, brass escape wheel. Winding through the small white enamel dial, roman numerals, gilt hands.
Small plain gold consular case, gold pendant and bow. The front bezel set with a row of small diamonds. Gold ring with a hinged mount for the watch, the back engraved with a monogram. The shank of the ring set with diamonds.
Circa: 1780.

A very rare small movement which measures only 14.3 mm across. Probably the smallest known fusee movement.
