Gold and Enamel American Hunter Pocket Watch.
A late 19th Century American lever in a gold and enamel full hunter case. Nickelled three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel spiral hairspring.
Club foot lever escapement. Signed white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Full hunter 18 carat case, both covers richly engraved and decorated with black champleve enamel.
Rectangular scenes in the centre of the covers bordered by engraved frames. Engraved scalloped middle, gold cuvette with engraved dedication "Mary & Salley - Nov 29 1882". Maker's mark "B.W.C.Co" in a rectangle.
