A late 18th Century English centre seconds verge doctor’s watch in gilt metal pair cases. Full plate fire gilt fusee movement. Pierced and engraved cock, an urn chased and engraved at the base of the table. Engraved foot and plate for the silver regulator disc. Plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring.
Signed white enamel dial, centre seconds with Arabic numerals, a small chapter of Roman numerals at six o’clock for hours and minutes. Fine gold seconds hand shaped to clear the cannon pinion, gold beetle and poker hands (the hour hand repaired). Plain gilt metal pair cases, round gilt pendant and bow. Blue steel lateral lever at 10 o’clock to start and stop the watch.
