German faience tankard with pewter cover.

18th century.

Decorated with a vase of flowers enclosed in medallion surrounded by formal foliage, and borders of wavy lines in blue. All set in a speckled manganese ground. 

A similar tankard can be found in the V&A Museum Collection, museum no. C.653-1920.
