A fine and good looking Georgian silk-work picture depicting an idyllic rural setting of two men in conversation, one with his dog, the other fishing. A large watermill is set on the opposite bank whilst a small sail-barge is loading a cargo.
Inscribed to the reverse ‘This was worked by my grandmother Hannah Turner - born Hannah Nutter 1786 when she was a little girl at school’.
Within an oval giltwood frame with a beaded sight.
