George III Toddy Ladle made in Edinburgh in 1795 by Alexander Ziegler.

The Toddy Ladle has a twisted whale bone handle and the reverse of the circular bowl is engraved with a contemporary Scottish Crest with the Motto Ill be Wary above.

The Crest and Motto are those of the Finlay family of Castle Toward, Greenock.

The bowl is also engraved with the contemporary initials CB and the number 68.
