Directors Notes
This bracelet, although unsigned is undoubtedly created at the same time as the iconic Hermès design, which dates back to 1938, when Robert Dumas, a member of the Hermès family was inspired by the shape of the links on a ship’s anchor. He designed a bracelet echoing these and christened it ‘Chaîne d'Ancre’. The bracelet was described by the Maison as a “naturally balanced jewel with a sporty yet chic allure” and they have been reinventing it ever since to form the basis of designs for necklaces, rings, earrings and of course bracelets.
