A fine and rare Renaissance tortoiseshell Snuffbox with silver mounts; French c.1600 – 1620; the tortoiseshell has been carved, with the design then being picked out with delicate pique work and mother of pearl ‘spots’; the piece is 7.4 cms wide, 4 cms tall and 5.6 cms deep.
