A French Empire Style Ormolu 10-Light Chandelier.
Constructed from gilded bronze, with hand-chased details and burnished highlights, the chandelier composed of a central dish inspired by an Ancient Roman oil lamp adorned with floral garlands and ribbon-tied masks having nine arms modelled from winged amorini and a neoclassical goddess at the centre; suspended from three rods issuing from an acanthus-clad corona with crystal ornament.
French, circa 1860.
