French Bronze and Ormolu Mantel Clock.
French bronze and gilded ormolu clock standing on an oval base with engraved turned feet and garland frieze decoration, beautifully modelled bronze figure of Aurora supporting the drum movement with chased and engraved bezel. Bevelled glass leading to the silvered dial with engine turned centre, Roman numerals and original blued steel hands. Eight day movement striking the hours and halves on a silvered bell signed ‘Marti, Paris’ with beautifully engraved butterfly pendulum. Circa 1880.
