Fine Regency period rosewood book-stand in the manner of Gillows of Lancaster; the two compartments divided by slender turned spindles and scrolled supports and handles. The base fitted with mahogany-lined drawer and edged with split-turned beaded mouldings.

Condition In excellent condition; some water/ink marks on the top, under the polish and part of the character of the piece.
