Fine quality walnut and ormolu-mounted games-table in the Louis XV revival style by Richardson & Son of Hull, dated 1872 of serpentine shape with cross-banded chamfered edges throughout; the top of burr-grained timber with inlaid boxwood arabesque spandrels surrounding the chequerboard; the frieze with a 'concealed' mahogany-lined drawer bearing the maker's printed trade-label.
