An early 19th Century English duplex in a fine decorative gold consular case and matching chain. Full plate fire gilt movement with gilt dust cover pierced to reveal the table of the cock and regulator disc.
Fusee and chain, Harrison’s maintaining power. Pierced and engraved cock with large diamond endstone, silver regulator disc. Plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. Duplex escapement, brass escape wheel.
Gold engine turned dial, applied gold Arabic numerals on a matted ground, pierced gilt hands. Attractive 18 carat open face case with reeded middle, pendant and bow.
Four colour gold floral decoration on the back protected by a glazed cover. Both the back glazed cover and front bezel are opened by a split button in the pendant.
Long gold snake chain, two gold sliders with four colour gold decoration matching the case. "T" bar with applied gold decoration and a short snake chain and key.
An attractive watch in excellent overall condition.
