A Fine Empire Revival Gilt-Bronze Mounted Mahogany Fauteuil.
This elegant armchair has a scrolled mahogany frame with a padded upholstered back and seat, the arms put down on finely cast gilt-bronze seated sphinx above an apron mounted with laurel leaf running pattern and rosettes; raised on ring turned baluster legs with lotus-leaf collars and paw feet to the front and splayed sabre legs to the rear.
