An Extremely Fine & Rare Pair of George III Blue Bell Drop Salvers made in London in 1779 by Crouch & Hannam.
The salvers are circular in form and stand on three cast paw feet, which are decorated with anthemion motifs.
The raised border is decorated with a double beaded band enclosing a beautiful border of trailing blue bell drops, an unusual decorative feature to see on salvers.
The centre of each piece is engraved with a contemporary Crest and each is very well marked on the reverse.
The Salvers are both in excellent condition, with a fine patina. John Crouch I & Thomas Hannam, were specialist maker's of Salvers and Trays, nearly always of the finest quality.
