The Rummer stands on a stepped circular foot which is decorated with palm leaf motifs, which are again repeated where the foot meets the main body.  The foot is also engraved with five contemporary initials and a star motif, possibly a gift from several individuals.

The slightly tapering sides, rise to an everted rim and the main body is decorated with an upper band of trailing vines and grapes, however this is interspersed with flower heads and leopard masks.  This very unusual design is referred to as a rummer in the Emes and Barnard ledgers.

Examples are especially rare and being silver gilt, must have been for the top end of the market.  The quality of this piece is exceptional, as would be expected from these silversmiths.
