Exceptionally fine Boulle pen and ink stand. Rectangular with red tortoiseshell ground inlaid with finely engraved brass marquetry.
Swan-neck rococo carrying handle over dished tray and gilt pen holder, flanked by a pair of cut glass ink pots with rococo ormolu tops. Stands upon cast rococo ormolu scroll feet. All in original condition.
French, circa 1800 - 1830.
