An exceptional straw work diorama of an owl and kingfisher, almost certainly by “Miss Gregg(e)” and part of the collection in the Leverian Museum, set in an oval glazed gilt case,  showing  a long eared owl perched on a piece of driftwood and a squawking bird on the ground in front of a painted river landscape.  English,  circa 1770.
