An exquisitely detailed and finely crafted desk inkstand in a lovely golden rosewood with ebonised highlights.
The oblong top with a central lidded ormolu vessel, the cover in the form of a bird of prey on a nest with its young, flanked by an ormolu sander and an inkwell, together with two ormolu quill holders and an ebonised pen tray.
The body with a single drawer to the side and profusely decorated with classical ormolu motifs including laurel wreaths, crossed arrows & swans. Raised on four gilded flat bun feet.
