A beautiful early Georgian needlework purse.
Measuring approximately 5 inches x 4 inches, this charming little purse is made from a single strip of red leather secured on the edges by the finest cross stitching.
The front, back and flap are all decorated with needlework flowers and leaves in different coloured silk thread and it has retained wonderful unfaded colour.
It has a striped silk lining and in it there is a rather distressed card which is inscribed in script with what appears to say "Thats telling". Intriguing!
