An excellent French early 20th Century Art Nouveau bronze bust of a beautiful young woman wearing an off the shoulder blouse. Raised on a slender shaped plinth and signed A Caron twice with model number '10' stamped.

ABOUT
Caron, Alexandre Auguste
Alexandre Caron (French, 1857 ~ 1932) Caron was greatly influenced by the dominant spirit of the end of the 19th Century. His works, most of which are mythological or symbolic and small in size, were made up of various prcious materials including silver, gold and bronze. Many were produced in the Sèvres factory.
At the Salon des Artistes Francais Caron exhibited from 1894 showing many noteworthy statuettes and winning commendations including an Honourable mention in 1901.
