An Elegant Early 19th Century Mahogany Bow Fronted Stick Barometer By Bate.

A Regency period mahogany and ebony inlaid bow fronted stick barometer. Swanneck pediment above the silvered scales that are signed Bate, London. Flame mahogany case with a long elegant thermometer and an urn cistern cover with ebony fluted inlay to the chamfered sides.
Bate was a fine quality instrument maker.
Circa 1810.

This object incorporates old ivory and has been registered with Defra
