Early 19th Century Mahogany Bow Fronted Stick Barometer by Bate.
A Regency period mahogany and ebony inlaid bow fronted stick barometer with swan neck pediment above the silvered scales that are signed Bate, London. Flame mahogany case with a long elegant thermometer and an urn shaped cistern cover. Ebony fluted inlay to the chamfered sides.
Bate was a fine quality instrument maker.
