An early 18 century red lacquered bath box circa 1720 to 1750.

These boxes were ostensibly carried by people taking the waters and have subsequently been named “bath” boxes.

The red paint simulating Chinese lacquerware with gilding and ornate cast and chased hinges.

Condition commensurate with age and use.

Size: 30.5 cm wide, 11 cm deep, 23 cm tall.
