Decorative French Gold Quarter Repeating Verge.

A small late 18th Century French quarter repeating verge in a decorative consular case and protective outer.  Full plate gilt fusee movement.  Finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with steel coqueret, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring.  Silver regulator dial with blue steel indicator.  Push pendant quarter repeating, originally on a bell, now on a brass block secured to the case.  Wound through the engine turned gold dial, applied gold Arabic numerals on a matted ground, gold hands.  Decorative three colour gold consular case, gold push pendant, number corresponding to that on the movement.  Gilt shagreen protective outer decorated with gilt pique pins.
