Copper-Alloy Pricket Candlesticks.
A handsome pair of early 17th century pricket (spiked) candlesticks, heavily cast with deep vigourous engraving on two sides of each stick, constructed from three sections, the three-footed base, balustered stem and drip pan united by the threaded spike running through to the base.
Variously ascribed to Spain, Italy or Low Countries; always to circa 1620/1650.
