Cobridge Poppy Vase Lamps.

A pair of Cobridge, poppy and ice pattern, hand painted, table lamps on Perspex bases. Measures: 16” high
One of Cobridge Pottery’s most popular patterns, designed by artist Anita Harris, leading designer at Cobridge, Moorcroft and her own studio.

England, 2003.

- Beautiful, lively, naturalistic pattern with an impressionistic quality diffusing and softening the poppies and ice into the sky blue background.
- Each vase is hand painted, reflecting the painter’s hand and interpretation of the pattern. On this vase the pattern is pared down on this vase to a minimal quality.
- Juxtaposes with period interiors and blends into modern and contemporary schemes.
- One marked JS © 03 AH underneath.
- The tones of blue, red, green and titanium white are warm and harmonies with most color schemes.
- The conversion is recent so it conforms to UK electrical standards.
- Provenance: Private collection. Collected for the subtle differences of the painting on each vase reflecting the hand of different artists or a different interpretation by the same artist.
- Can be sold as a collection or individually.
