An exceptional mid 18th century Chippendale period mahogany secretaire cabinet on stand, with pierced fretwork galleried top above a pair of hinged panelled doors, revealing a fully fitted interior of graduated drawers and pull out secretaire, with mirrored centre cupboard and door flanked by cluster column sides and leaf carved decoration, revealing a further fitted section with fretwork and graduated small drawers backed by secret compartments; standing on a shallow frieze with tapering panelled square legs and shaped fish scale feet with leafwork decoration joined by leaf carved corner brackets.
