Chinese small blue and white warrior plate, Kangxi (1662-1722) with foliate edge, decorated to the centre with a scene of two warriors on horseback engaged in combat within a rocky landscape, the cavetto and rim with six petal-shaped alternating panels with warriors, bannermen and chrysanthemum heads, against a radiating swastika pattern, the reverse with six panels containing ruyi heads, the rim with three floral sprays and six character Kangxi mark within concentric circles to the base. The swastika is a Buddhist symbol of endless longevity.
