Chinese near pair of small blue and white plates, Kangxi (1662-1722), decorated to the central roundels with a lady sitting on rockwork underneath a tree watching a small boy playing, the rim with four cartouches containing leafy fruits against a trellis ground, the reverse with four precious beribboned objects (babao); one with apocryphal Chenghua mark, the other with four-character mark within concentric circles.

Condition: The larger with slight nibbling, the smaller with hairline approximate 1.2cm. and small filled in nibbles.
