Chinese Imari plate, Qianlong (1736-95) decorated in red and blue enamels with gilt highlights to the centre with boughs of flowering peony and foliage issuing from rockwork, the cavetto with four floral cartouches against a diaper ground in iron-red, the wide rim with three further boughs of peony and foliage.
