Chinese imari plate, 18th century, decorated in red and blue enamels with gilt highlights to the centre with boughs of flowering peony issuing from rockwork and an insect in flight, the cavetto with four floral cartouches against a diaper ground in iron-red, the wide rim with three further boughs of peony and foliage.
