Chinese imari hexagonal teapot.

Kangxi (1662-1722).

Decorated to the body with a continuous scene of figures weaving inside a pavilion, children playing in a fenced rocky garden and a mother carrying her child on her back.

The rim with banded pattern and peony blossom. The handle and spout with scrolling floral pattern.

The lid decorated with six alternately coloured blue and white panels containing gilded scrolls and sea creatures surmounted by a golden knop.
