Chinese famille verte plate, Kangxi (1662-1722), decorated to the central roundel with a magnolia tree adorned with red and golden blooms, chrysanthemum and grasses growing at its base; the cavetto with four panels containing delicate floral sprays, against a red cell gound with flower heads, the rim with four alternating groups of flowers and grasses issuing from rockwork.
