Chinese Canton enamel tray, Qianlong (1736-95), of square form with chamfered corners, decorated with an elderly scholar watching two boys at play in a garden outside a pavilion, with stylized foliate scrollwork against a pale green ground to the rim, the reverse with blue folate scroll to the rim and single spray in pink to the base.
