Chinese canton enamel rectangular box and cover, Qianlong (1736-95), each of the four sides with ruyi-head cartouches containing sprays of flowers including peony, reserved against a pale blue ground with dense foliate scroll; the lid with sprays of peony within two bands in blue and pink, the latter with floral cartouches.
