Late Kangxi (1662-1722).
Of moulded form with bracketed rim. The central roundel with a scene of two lovers meeting in moonlight underneath a willow while attendants look on with a horse, with mountains visible on the opposite shore.
The wide rim with ten ogee-shaped cartouches containing blooming peony with flying insects, against alternating cell and lattice-grounds. The reverse with three leafy tendrils and an open lozenge mark within concentric circles to the base.
