Chinese blue and white kraak dish.
Wanli (1573-1619).
With gently barbed rim. The central roundel decorated with a lotus-shaped cartouche containing a pair of waterfowl. One swimming in the water while the other perches on the rocky shore underneath flowering lotus, against alternating cell grounds.
The wide rim with eight cartouches containing flowers, fruits and various precious objects with ruyi-head pendant tassels, between slim panels with dots and further cell-pattern grounds. The reverse with eight further panels containing ruyi-heads.
Condition: Good but with some extremely minor fritting.
