Chinese blue and white dancers and musicians dish, Kangxi (1662-1722), the central roundel painted with two musicians, playing the transverse flute (dizi) and Chinese lute (pipa) respectively, while two ladies-in-waiting dance, holding floral sprays aloft, in a fenced garden with overhanging maple and plantain tree; the border with five cartouches containing flowers against a diaper ground.
