A charming panel depicting the Prodigal Son.

Probably early 17th century and Flemish,this interesting little oak panel depicts two scenes from the parable of The Prodigal Son.

On the left he can be seen on horseback saying goodbye to his father and on the right he is shown in poverty having squandered his portion of his inheritance and being reduced to feeding the swine.
