Charming Japanese Pure Silver and Mixed Metal Table Box.
As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this Meiji Period 1868-1912, pure silver and mixed metal table box artist signed Bunkei aside a gold seal. The box is formed from pure silver and rests upon bracket feet , the lid of the box is formed from shibuichi and other mixed metals which depict the scene of ducks at rest and landing upon a lake in a winter landscape , the further use of silver cleverly picking out the snow falling from the surrounding foliage. The underside of the box carries the pure silver jungin mark aside a likely retailers signature, an absolutely charming and highly useful trinket box in lovely condition.
