A Carved Oak Barrel Drinks Set.
Composed of four barrels and two carafes, with twelve silver gilt and oak glasses from the silversmith Odile Lamy, the entire set resting on carved chevalet supports with relief decoration of vine leaves and bunches of grapes; the circular and ovoid barrels with brass hoop fasteners; the front showcasing emblems of wine and inset with functioning taps; the largest barrel with a seated Bacchus—God of Wine—stopper, while the carafes of conforming decoration with cork stoppers of figural busts.
