A huge and rather magnificent and rare Carved Oak and Polychrome Stag's Head with ‘Royal’ antlers. Of extraordinary size; 220 cm or 87’’ high. Late 17th or early 18th Century. Set on a scrolling fruit and flower cartouche with a Green Man mask.
Ex Flaxley Abbey Gloucestershire where it formed part of Oliver Messel’s decorative scheme in the 1960’s.
