Bronze cockatoo by Buschelberger.

A Kraas foundry bronze of a cockatoo dated 1926 by Anton Buschelberger (September 9, 1869 Eger - July 3, 1934 Dresden).

Büschelberger came from a family of artists, he studied at the Munich Art Academy and focused on the creation of realistic animal sculptures, created from countless sketchbooks he filled at the Dresden Zoo.  Büschelberger also worked as a freelancer for the Porcelain Manufactory Karl Enz in Rudolstadt-Volkstedt, Thuringia.

This bronze figural study of a cockatoo is illustrated in the bronze Kraas company catalogue from 1927, in which a total of 50 objects by Anton Büschelberger are recorded.  The foundry uses a motif of this cockatoo in the emblem embossed in gold upon the cover.
