A very rare and fine Art Deco Period Bowl in the Dinanderie technique and decorated with painted enamel.

Formed as a circular hand raised shallow copper bowl, the central reserve with an enamel panel depicting two white doves amongst stylised foliage in turquoise blue and three golden yellow flowers.

The rim of the bowl is edged with a fine line of turquoise blue enamel.

Signed underneath by the artist, Laurent Llarensou.

Laurent Llarensou (1899-1959) was an important artist of the Art Deco Period specialsing in pieces of Dinanderie.

He came from a family of art metal workers and he was a pupil of Jean Dunand, part of the "groupes des trois" with Pierre Carrel & Claudius Linossier.

Jean Dunand is considered to be the most important artist of this period working with these techniques of Dinanderie, Lacquer and Enamel.

Llarensou exhibited his works in Paris at The Galerie Edgar Brandt and at various international exhibitions including Buenos Aires, Mexico, New York and Toronto.
