Silk ikat lady's robe, or munisak, probably from the Ferghana Valley, Uzbekistan, and dating to the late 19th century. The warp-faced ikat weave is done with a silk warp and a cotton weft.
The robe is taken in under the arms, which is a typical feature in a lady's coat, employed to add body. It is lightly quilted.
Original Russian printed cotton lining and original braiding on the edges. Excellent condition
